Events & Communication
Co-chaired by Paul Hearns and Ross O’Leary, this working group is responsible for the annual Blockchain Ireland event week, the monthly seminars, and other communication and outreach engagements.
Paul Hearns
Steering Group Member & Co-chair Blockchain Ireland Week Working Group and Communications Manager
Paul Hearns has also spent more than 15 years of research experience working with SFI institutions, such as Lero and Biorbic as well working with private large and SME institutions.
He is currently working as in Information Technology at the engineering department of the Atlantic Technological University (ATU). He lectures in cloud computing, Microsoft Azure, blockchain, business analytics, Tableau, Power BI, decision theory, data visualisation and application development topics.
Ross O’Leary
Steering Group Member and Co-chair of Events & Communications Working Group
Ross co-chairs the Comms working group for Blockchain Ireland. He is head of Emerging Technologies at Beachhut PR. He is a public relations and strategic communications expert, and provides strategic counsel to Blockchain focused companies, start-ups, governments, Nasdaq-listed corporations, fintech, healthtech, financial services, and aviation organisations across EMEA and the Americas.
Ross holds a BA in Economics and History from University College Dublin and a Masters in American Politics and Foreign Policy from the Clinton Institute of American Studies at University College Dublin.
Ross is the Curator of the Dublin Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community.
